Bala Cynwyd Real Estate (19004) And Community Information

Provided by the Kevin Toll Group

Bala Cynwyd was originally settled in 1682 by Welsh colonists. The pioneers settled west of the Schuylkill River at the very early development of Pennsylvania. These pioneers were home loving and civic minded. These individuals were Quakers, and came here to freely practice their faith and live in peace with their neighbours. Landmarks, such as the Merion Friends Meetinghouse and the Lower Merion Academy are evidence of these goals. Bala Cynwyd was established in 1906 and has worked to preserve the residential characteristics of the neighbourhood, and continue to promote civic welfare and community spirit.
